It would be fake even with ACR/ACR results to have Amazon only to top the chart so I can't see it happening unless Kylie makes the decision not to back it on the single horse anymore last minute and make stuff like at least a YouTube Music Video on top of the Amazon to bump her up if not put it on the rest of the audio platforms to take out the amazon exclusive thing stopping her from topping the chart.

It's going to be a Wham retain unless if Mariah can finally do it herself or Pogues other number twos which had issues winning it for the same length as Wham.

Kylie won't get close because of being an amazon format snob unless a physical is on there as well which could bump her up by having multiple amazon formats but even then she is outnumbered as a contender for not having the formats.

How about Mad World back at Xmas number one, never hear it played anymore which is a shame. Always remember being pleased when it pipped the Darkness to the top spot. Justin Hawkins was an arrogant git.

It's the fact he's predicting it entering the Top 10 along with The Pretenders that's baffling. No chance. STC is a great tune but not as good as his kitchen party one.

Little bit disappointed with WHAM! at number one again. Would have preferred to see RAYE or Kylie Minogue at the top. Would have loved to have seen some impact from JADE's deluxe album, a lot of the new stuff is some of her strongest works..

My Personal Top 10:

  1. RAYE- Where Is My Husband! UP 2 Peak 1X2
  2. Taylor Swift- The Fate Of Ophelia DOWN 1 Peak 1X9
  3. JADE- Church NEW Peak 3
  4. Kylie Minogue- XMAS UP 5 Peak 4
  5. Sam Fender feat. Olivia Dean- Rein Me In DOWN 3 Peak 2
  6. JADE- Before You Break My Heart DOWN 2 Peak 4
  7. JADE- This Is What We Dance For NEW Peak 7
  8. WHAM!- Last Christmas UP 9 Peak 2
  9. Sombr- 12 To 12 DOWN 3 Peak 2
  10. Mariah Carey- All I Want For Christmas Is You DOWN 5 Peak 2

Peak positions are incorrect on this chart as well. 'I wish it could be Christmas every day' is showing it's peak position as 10 and yet it reached 4 on it's initial release. Why are the OCC confusing/misleading the casual users of this site ? In any other field of business, Trading Standards (UK) would have a genuine case to uphold against the OCC.

L

litefoot

1

People have been complaining about the WOC and peak positions for years and the OCC do nothing about it.

I mean, surely it's not that difficult?  It's mostly Christmas tracks that peaked back in the day and the data ported over from the old Guinness books hasn't been linked to the stats in the streaming era.

Oh, and while you're sorting that out, OCC (ha!), take a look at the week the charts moved from the NME to Record Retailer - I'm sure you double count a week there.

Looks like 'I Run' is going to be a hit in the new year after all. Still not a fan of it unfortunately. :(

Very impressed that ‘Lush Life’ actually managed to gain despite all the Christmas songs. At the rate it’s going, it could end up having another substantial chart run come January. That would be amazing!

If we’re going to send ‘Last Christmas’ back to the summit again, can we please have something else as Christmas Number One this year?

We haven’t had one that isn’t from either LadBaby or Wham! since 2017. A change is long overdue.
