Sabrina Carpenter is a US pop star and actress. Originally a Disney child star, Sabrina's bounce into a pop career really got going with the release of her two-part third album Singular, whose pulsating highlights Almost Love and Paris marked her as one to watch. After a brief flirtation with tabloid sensationalism on the one-off single Skin, Sabrina's fifth LP E-mails I Can't Send was a genre-crossing breakout moment for her and contained her first UK Top 20 single, Feather.
In April 2024 Sabrina cracked the Official Singles Chart Top 10 for the first time with Espresso, and two weeks later on 3 May the song became Sabrina Carpenter's first-ever UK Number 1 single. Official Charts confirmed the niche-but-true fact that Espresso was the highest-charting song about caffeine in 24 years, since All Saints' 2000 hit Black Coffee.
