Therefore, its peak position in this chart is wrong. And so it is Bobby Boris Pickett's "Monster Mash", Nº3 in 1973, unless you consider the song charting this week a different version to the one ft. The Crypt-Kickers that became a UK million seller single 52 years ago.

I'd just quickly like to correct a comment I made earlier about Ladbaby --- I meant gr*ping accusations were falsely made, not r*pe. I most likely mis- remembered. Either way, Ladbaby was sent threats and blackmailed with fake videos which showed bad things, which with the hate led to anxiety which stopped him making Christmas music.
Sorry for the mistake earlier.

You know what angers me even more? Ladbaby may NEVER make Christmas music again because of harassment he faced from haters (such as falsely accusing him of gr*ping online and such) and now thanks to that we may have the same number ones EVERY year. You know, i'm not a huge fan of Ladbaby but atleast it was a new Christmas song every year. The hate he got for being himself and being a nice guy is actually mental. Our world is DOOMED.

I know people that know Ladbaby (same town), none of them have anything good to say about him. Can't make a judgement myself, I've never met him, but I trust their judgement. yeah i’m not personally a kylie fan but ill take it if it means we have something a bit more fresh as our christmas number 1. physicals will boost its sales a lot, but part of me thinks amazon may get pipped to the post once again; i can’t remember if sam ryder had physicals supporting his amazon original, but he was up and down the country promoting the life out of it, and he just about fell short. but who knows! i’ll be watching it’s stats and seeing what happens

‘Berghain’ might be one of the most fascinating chart entries we’ve had all year.
Having a song performed in three different languages with classical composition is something you’d expect to see in Eurovision week, not in late autumn.

I genuinely don’t get how ‘Golden’ is still #1. It was below ‘The Fate Of Ophelia’ on Spotify, Apple and iTunes all week, even with the latter having a couple new versions released. I like KPDH but this is getting odd now.
Either way, we need a change at the top. HUNTR/X and Alex Warren have spent more weeks at the summit in 2025 than all other artists combined. That just sums up how slow this year has been.

I'm begging for RAYE to get to number one soon. Even then, I hope we get some more good singles before the end of the year as 2025 has been pretty atrocious charts wise (ignoring EDM, which has been really good actually)

I don't think she'll get there this side of Christmas, but I'm hoping it happens in the first week of 2026. The question will be whether or not she can avoid ACR for the rest of the year.

Even if WIMH! doesn’t avoid ACR, I believe it goes in December anyway meaning it will be eligible for a reset in January

yeah 2 tone 2025 has been the most stagnant chart year of the century so far, even after a whirlwind 2024. i wouldn’t be surprised if half of the year-end list for this year is full of songs released before 2025 lol
