Oasis's Live Forever takes on Sabrina Carpenter for UK Number 1 single

They're gonna Live Forever! Oasis track for triumphant Top 5 return - but can they topple Sabrina Carpenter?
Oasis Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter looks set to make it two weeks at the top with latest Short n’ Sweet single Taste.

The track leads the pack midweek, with former chart-toppers Please Please Please and Espresso expected to hold their Number 2 and 3 positions respectively. But there’s major competition from some headline-grabbing Britpop brothers…

Following the announcement of their Live ’25 reunion shows (and subsequent ticket frenzy), Oasis’s Live Forever looks to lift 15 to Number 4. It’d prove a brand-new best for the track, which peaked at Number 10 on its original 1994 release.

With a 30th anniversary release of its parent album Definitely Maybe released this week, could Oasis mania see Live Forever surge to the summit?

Two more Oasis classics are on the ascent midweek, too. Wonderwall (8) and Don’t Look Back In Anger (7) are both expected to lift nine and return to the Top 10.

Sonny Fodera, Jazzy and D.O.D’s infectious summer banger Somedays hopes to reach a new peak this week, set to lift one (13).

Finally, Teddy Swims could take break-up bop The Door to new highs, potentially up two to break into the Top 20 for the first time (20).

If this comes to pass, it would have to be a contender for the second worst top 10 in living memory, only beaten by that ridiculous week Ed Sheeran had 9 of the top 10.

The lower half of the list is wrong but a re-entry at #12 for 'Genesis' would be very nice!

The Top 10 is correct but the 11-20 region seems to be that of the First Look from 9th June. That's why you got 'Good Luck, Babe!' appearing in the list above twice.

Anyway, it's actual position is #6, so no, it isn't on ACR (although it looks to be on 3WD).
