Good to see a new Tate song in the top 10. Also nice to see Adison Rae having another Top 40, even though it's my least favourite song from here. Looking forward to her album. "Times Like These" is another fantastic song from here. Very nice also that CMAT made the Top 100 this week.

Unfortunately "Easy Lover" entered very low - it is a great song. Like Miley's new album very much - it sounds very adult. Would also like to see Sienna Spiro finally having another Top 100 hit. "Dream Police" is fantastic. I also cannot understand why Grace Davies does not chart with her new song - it is supercatchy.

My Top 25 for this week

1.  Jorja Smith - The Way I Love You (1) 3w

2. Sienna Spiro - Dream Police (NEW)

3. Rico Nasty – Crash (11) 3w

4. Linkin Park - Up From The Bottom (10) 2w

5. Grace Davies - Super Love Me (19) 2w

6. Billy Idol Feat. Alison Mosshart - John Wayne (3) 4w

7. Tommy Cash - Espresso Macchiato (4) 4w

8. CMAT - Take A Picture Of Me (5) 4w

9. KAJ - Bara Bada Bastu (2) 4w

10. Clean Bandit, Tiesto & Leony - Tell Me Where U Go (8) 3w

11. Charlie Collins - Rock Bottom (12) 4w

12. Miley Cyrus - Easy Lover (NEW)

13. Press Club - To All The Ones That I Love (7) 4w

‘Nice To Each Other’ isn’t my favourite Olivia Dean song but it’s still fine and I’m very happy to see her getting more recognition.

Disappointed that Miley didn’t have a bigger impact in the singles chart. Her new album really impressed me. Also, I swear the UK are just sleeping on ReneĂ© Rapp at this point
 🙄

Oh well, we just had arguably the busiest NMF of the year so I’m staying optimistic for next week.

I’m amazed at the turnaround Addison Rae has made in the past year and ‘Fame Is A Gun’ may be one of the best songs she’s released to date. I can definitely hear the 2000s Britney inspirations here.

Very glad it made the Top 40 and hopefully it’ll become her second hit later in the summer. :)

3

‘Just Keep Watching’ is now Tate McRae’s highest debuting song to date. It’s probably the first F1 soundtrack single that I’ve liked, so definitely not complaining about that. I personally feel that ‘Sports Car’ would’ve been a better fit though.

Elsewhere, I’m happy that ‘Revolving Door’ is sticking around and that ‘What I Want’ is beginning to recede.

no offence but i dont know why we are still trying to take tate mcrae seriously as a pop artist, she’s so uninspiring and that sports car dirge makes me squirm with discomfort everytime i hear that stupid asmr hook

M-ONKSHïżœ

Not got around to that one yet but I've heard good things about it.

avatar

Piran

The whispering was off-putting at first but I actually don't mind it now.

avatar

Piran

4

It’s a shame that ‘Twilight Zone’ left the chart completely. One of the best tracks from Ariana’s last album and I expected it to stick around for longer. Hoping that ‘Supernatural’ will be a sleeper hit for her during the summer considering it’s a big fan favourite and it’s going viral on TikTok.

‘Show Me Love’ also went on ACR far too early. Oh well, I’m still going to be streaming it throughout the summer regardless. It remains a fun and uplifting song, especially the remix with Tyla.

avatar

Piran

4

Sigh
so this is now the longest-running #1 hit of the decade, huh?

You know, even if I didn’t like ‘Bad Habits’ that much, at least it felt like it had more cultural significance. It was played literally everywhere like clubs, restaurants, shopping centres, TV adverts, house parties, etc. You couldn’t escape it.

‘Ordinary’ doesn’t feel like a mainstream phenomenon at all. It’s being played on the radio and maybe at some weddings but that’s about it. I just don’t see it standing the test of time.

Hopefully either ACR or even Sabrina’s new single will take it out before it begins to challenge Bryan Adams’ record.

avatar

afroginatent

2

I think Ordinary will age better than Bad Habits. +Bad Habits is a (terrible) house-inspired pop track. It's supposed to be played at clubs and parties. Ordinary isn't

avatar

Piran

1

I think both of them are overrated tbh.

Oh well, at least 'Bloodline' is growing me fast. The more I hear it, the more I hear the similarities to ‘Hey Brother’ by Avicii.

M-ONKSHïżœ

mrstarling - OCC's No.1 Keir Starmer Hater 🎀

I pray that Sabrina's new song doesn't go number one- after her huge run in 2024 I want atleast a few years before she gets another hit (or never would be better)

M-ONKSHïżœ

mrstarling - OCC's No.1 Keir Starmer Hater 🎀

0

And also I LOVED Bad Habits, not complaining about that being the longest decade number one... but Ordinary overtaking it is crazy disrespect.
