Great to see Messy keeping the #1. Sports Car is a great tune entering the Top 10. Overall, too much old music. Maybe songs should be removed from the charts if they stay more than a half year in the Top 40 or a year in the top 100. There is so much good music around and it is a pity that this is not reflected in the charts.

My Top 25 for this week:

01 Lola Young - Messy
02 The Marías - No One Noticed
03 Ethel Cain - Punish
04 Sharon Van Etten - Trouble
05 Sienna Spiro - Maybe
06 FKA Twigs - Striptease
07 Cigarettes After - X's
08 Tate McRae - Sports Car
09 Ray Lozano - KIKI
10 Fontaines D.C. - Bug
11 Magdalena Bay - Cry For Me
12 Mumford & Sons - Rushmere
13 BANKS - Love Is Unkind
14 The Cure - A Fragile Thing
15 Doechii - Denial Is A River
16 The Weeknd & Playboi Carti - Timeless
17 Franz Ferdinand - Hooked
18 Paris Paloma - Labour
19 Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile
20 Teddy Swims - Guilty
21 Wezn - Golden
22 Aitch & Bou - Raving In The Studio

Can Aitch please grow up, Central Cee didn't give him a real Diss and then Aitch fired back with lies, it's clear clout chasing.

It's a shame to see 'Push The Tempo' get pushed back a bit.

Sure, this was a busy week, but I'm hoping it'll have enough momentum to contend for the Top 40 during February.

M

3

Yeah, it's a good song.

Excluding Christmas, ‘Beautiful Things’ is finally out of the Top 40 for the first time ever.

Shame to see ‘BMF’, ‘What Is This Feeling?’ and ‘DTMF’ leave the region with it. That being said, I’m impressed that the latter even made it there in the first place.

Oh well, at least ‘Headlock’ survived another week.

It was okay for me to begin with but then soured on me massively after a few weeks.

Not surprised to see ‘Sports Car’ getting off to such a good start and equalling Tate’s highest debuting song.

What I am surprised about is ‘It’s Ok I’m Ok’ getting such a big rebound and ‘2 Hands’ managing to dodge ACR.

Looks like this might end up being her most successful era to date!

M

mrstarling

2

Sports Car is the best song yet from this era

6

‘Arm’s Length’ and ‘Wild Long Lie’ aren’t among my favourite Sam Fender songs, but good to see them both here nonetheless. Really excited for his new album coming in three weeks! 😊

Shame that nothing from Teddy Swims’ new album debuted today because of the three-song rule. For me, it has some of his best work to date and I’d definitely recommend checking it out!

My favourite tracks are ‘Not Your Man’ and ‘Guilty’! Both have massive radio potential and I’d love to see at least one of them chart in the weeks ahead. :)
