Racking up more than 1.7 million UK chart units, including 203.5 million UK streams, so far this year, the chart-topping track has enjoyed unprecedented chart success since its release in February. The Californian singer-songwriter secured a record-breaking 13th week at Number 1 in June 2025, with Official Charts confirming Alex Warren as the US artist with the most consecutive weeks at Number 1 in Official Singles Chart history.
Months later, it remains as popular as ever, with the biggest song of the year title in its eyeline.
Closely behind at Number 2 is Lola Young with her anthemic banger Messy. Racking up over 142.7 million UK streams in 2025, Messy originally hit the Top 10 for the first time in December 2024, defying the odds as one of the few non-Christmas songs to earn its place in the festive Top 10. In 2025, it quickly flew to Number 1, where it stayed for four consecutive weeks, earning Lola a strong reputation as one of the biggest breakout acts of the year.
In third place is ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’s pop-punk party starter APT., which is sitting on 148.5 million UK streams so far in 2025.
Moving up into 4th place is Chappell Roan and her notable track Pink Pony Club, which boasts in excess of 130 million UK streams so far this year.
Gracie Abrams’ single That’s So True makes the Top 5, too. The single held its position at the Official Singles Chart summit for eight weeks, three of those being in 2025. It has now amassed 120 million streams and counting in the UK in 2025.
Bruno Mars’s impressive 2025 continues as he banks a second placement in the year-to-date Top 10, with Lady Gaga team-up Die With A Smile landing at Number 6. Gaga follows suit, as Abracadabra, the second single from her most recent album MAYHEM earns a place in the Top 40 of 2025 to date.
Making up the rest of the out the Top 10 are Benson Boone’s chart-topping smash Beautiful Things (7), Ravyn Lenae’s Love Me Not (8). Chrystal’s The Days (9) and Billie Eilish's Birds of a Feather (10).
Congratulations also go to Atlantic Records, who are currently the only label to see four artists on their roster make up the Top 10.
Further down, Sabrina Carpenter sees five of her tracks make the year-to-date Top 40: Espresso (13), Taste (15), Manchild (30) which is the highest new entry for Sabrina, Please Please Please (36) and Busy Woman (38).
Two other new entries come from breakout star sombr, who sees both undressed (21) and back to friends (24) chart highly. Both reached the Top 10 on the Official Singles Chart in what's proven to be the New York native's breakout year.
HUNTR/X’s record-breaking Golden makes its debut on the list (25), and is also the newest track in Top 40.
Other fresh 2025 releases to make the cut include MK’s chart-topping Chrystal collab Dior (39), as well as the Official biggest British song of the summer, Calvin Harris and Clementine Douglas with Blessings (40).

OUT OF THE TOP 20 SONGS TWO (YES, TWO) WERE RELEASED THIS YEAR.
You see what I mean when I said this year was as dry as a bone? What a joke.

I feel like 2025 has been an incredibly slow year for the charts. So many carryovers from last year are still in this list.
Disappointed that 'Ordinary' is #1 but not surprised. I don't get the appeal for it at all.
I think OCC have the wrong artists credited for #15 and #20.

i wouldn’t say apt is “pop-punk”. it sounds a lot more like the ting tings than, say, sum 41.
