Chase & Status's energetic new team-up with Stormzy could become the dance duo's first UK Number 1 single.

Chase & Status and Stormzy take the lead to debut at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with their new collaboration BACKBONE (1), which blows past the competition midweek.
The energetic BACKBONE could become the first UK Number 1 single for influential dance duo Chase & Status, and the fourth overall for Stormz.
But it’s not over yet! Chappell Roan’s Good Luck, Babe! vaults back to Number 2 at the midweek mark. Our reigning chart-topper, Charli xcx and Billie Eilish's Guess, shouldn’t be counted out yet, either, currently at Number 3.
Bl3SS, CamrinWatsin & bbyclose’s breakout summer jam Kisses is expects to reach a new peak this week (6), and is one step closer to breaking into the Top 5.
We’re in heaven! JADE’s acclaimed debut solo single Angel Of My Dreams is predicted to re-enter the UK Top 10 for a second week (8), pushed up by the release of its acclaimed S.A.D – Slow. Angelic. Dramatic. version.

Apart from Eminem's much needed reappearance I don't give a toss about any other Rap today let alone the usual predictable of Pop and Dance due to streaming..Listening to Greatest Radio more than Radio 2 and 1 these days.

I will say it again there ain't been a bearable/good no.1 since "too sweet" by hozier.. Im telling you I will lift my arms in triumph when there's next a song I like at no.1 ITS BEEN AGES!! it looks like me ranking every no.1 ain't gonna be a positive list.. *sigh* last christmas might be my favourite no.1 of the year at this rate (it won't there's 2 better songs but still it'll be up there)

I agree to this. But I also think it is ACR/SCR and 0.5 divisions faults as well that it has happened that we haven't had a decent one since Hozier and maybe Eminem if you count that it was him going back to his real at his best style of the Without Me and Stan days if you liked him back them over now that is of have ever liked him.
