The original version of Guess was released on 10 June 2024, featuring on the deluxe version of Charli xcx's BRAT album - Brat and It's the Same but There's Three More Songs So It's Not.

Written by Charli xcx (Charlotte Aitchison), Guess contains an interpolation of Daft Punk's Technologic, however it was a later surprise remix that boosted the track to Number 1.

Earlier in 2024, global superstar Billie Eilish had stated in an interview with Zane Lowe that she had been in a studio for the first time in several years and had recorded a collaboration with an artist she was a huge fan of. She had previously resisted collaborations due to nervousness.

A new version of Guess, produced by The Dare and Finneas was released on 1 August 2024, and saw Charli team up with Billie Eilish, immediately sending the internet into a frenzy.

Guess was Billie Eilish's first studio collaboration for several years and was released alongside a music video from which 10,000 pairs of underwear were donated to I Support the Girls. 

Proving an irresistable pairing, Guess went straight in at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart on 9 August.
