I wouldn't mind reading through dozens of comments to see who replied to my posts if the discussion was actually interesting or civil, but when it's over something as meaningless as likes or dislikes (especially with the layout of this website), then it's incredibly petty and childish. 

There have genuinely been times where I've come on here, and within a few minutes, every comment has one or even multiple votes less than they did before. Like, you have to have a really sad and pathetic life if you have nothing better to do with your weekend than target people on the internet for the sake of it. 

Really hoping this boils over soon since it's ruining the fun for respectful commenters like you and me. :/
