Yes, there's several of the classic Christmas songs on this page that aren't attached to their initial chart runs, some for no good reason.

In Boney M's case, it's because the original 1978 chart entry is wrongly listed as just Mary's Boy Child. The modern chart runs are combined under an entry more correctly given as Mary's Boy Child/Oh My Lord. (Chart books like the Guinness British Hit Singles would in fact list it as Mary's Boy Child–Oh My Lord – it's a medley, not a double A-side.) But as a result, the system doesn't recognise it as being the same hit.

You probably are right...but he did it anyway!! and he is not any young anymore...I think it was his last chance to be so present in the charts...don´t expect to see Elton that often, or at all in 2022...there are more chances to see the Spice girls in a comeback this new year...

'Head & Heart' actually made chart history for me not long ago by becoming the first ever song to appear in Year-End Top 10 in consecutive years.

It spent nine non-consecutive weeks at #1 for me in the summer of 2020!

oh wow, head & heart spent 17 non-consecutive weeks at number 1 on my personal chart and placed at number 5 on this year’s end of year chart (falling from number 1) and BED has a total of 18 non-consecutive weeks at number 1 on my chart and is number one on this years end of year list

this is also the second number 1 of the year and in total for Elton (cold heart being the first) and the very first for Ed Sheeran

dont think we've ever spoke before but i love h&h :D head & heart spent 10 weeks at #1 for me last year, its 3rd week it was knocked off by Lighter but climbed back the next week, it was my #1 of 2020 and my #11 of 2021, and only recently dropped out my chart :D

head & heart only just reached an all time low on my chart this week (50) and has dropped out twice (I have a recurrency rule on my chart) also lighter had 2 non consecutive weeks at number 1 for me, replacing head & heart the first time and replacing secrets the second time

I get the impression that a lot of people have only brought Lad Baby's Saugage Rolls For Everyone cause of the charity.
I'm pleased that people are giving money to charity and that's brilliant.
My point is a lot of people could of given the money to the charity direct instead of buying a song they don't buy cause they liked it.
People like me who loves music and cares about the charts have to suffer with these awful songs that are not worthy No1's.
People can click a down arrow, but it's true.

plus, people could always just make a fair donation to the food banks themselves instead of wasting 99p on a song they won’t unironically listen to.
