As the Christmas Takeover has finished, we'll see less Christmas Songs in the Top 40 than last week. This means, Raye, Central Cee, SZA, Metro Boomin', Taylor Swift, Sam Smith & Kim Petras or Bugzy Malone & TeeDee could be this week's number 1. However, Wham! and Mariah Carey also have their dibs.

today’s chart is the final Christmas one and on the Wednesday update 38/40 songs were Christmas so non-Christmas songs will recover next week

unless Lavender Haze just doesn't reach the top 40, i remember what happened to champagne problems in 2021

reminds me of what happened with oh my god by adele. it debuted at number 2 when it was an album track then adele pushed it as a single, but it didn’t go back to its peak position.

I don't mind Messy In Heaven because of ArrDee's disrespectful lyrics (made me lose respect for him), also the song isn't for me. However, the Christmas Takeoover has finally ended to I'm afraid Psycho and Messy In Heaven will stay in the chart for a bit of time. RAYE V Central Cee V SZA this week.

at this point, they don’t care about charity, only chart positions. they’ve done this for their other songs but as soon as a classic catches up by such a small amount, they decide to remix their own music for more money in their bank accounts. they can’t stand the thought of the christmas number 1 going to anyone except themselves.

if i was an artist doing this, i wouldn’t care about chart positions, just as long as my fans are happy listening to my music. actual feedback would keep me going, not a number. if i was doing a charity song i’d only care about the song making enough money the charity needs; , i’d DONATE 100% of the money too. 😫

Not only that, but direct donations to the charity are so much more meaningful to the people who need it anyway. :/

The K*nts don’t have a chance I’m afraid, also LadBaby has a laughable amount of streams so we’d need to focus on sales and streams
