Laura Misch has been announced as the next guest on The Record Club.

The multi-disciplinary artist and producer has just released her debut album, Sample The Sky, via One Little Independent Records. Laura is actually the older sister of musicial Tom Misch, who has previously scored two Top 10 albums in the UK; 2018's Geography (8) and 2020's What Kinda Music with drummer Yussef Dayes (5).

Misch's work on the album is organic and freeing, as well as making great use of her favourite instrument, the saxophone, which she first learned to play age 11.

A long time in the making after previously releasing two entirely self-produced EPs, Sample The Sky sees Misch step into the open world, collaborating with co-producer William Arcane to create a debut album that is entirely one with nature.

This Wednesday, October 18 from 5:30 pm, Laura will be sitting down with BBC Radio 1's Jess Iszatt to discuss Sample The Sky and what it took for her to finally channel her energy into an album.

Make sure to pick up a copy of Sample The Sky from your local independent record shop, give it a listen and tune in live with your questions for Laura - submit them via the comment section during the stream, and one lucky commenter will win a pair of Bowers & Wilkins headphones.
