Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department takeover begins - Fortnight ft. Post Malone heading for Number 1
Taylor Swift’s Official Chart takeover with The Tortured Poets Department begins today. The US superstar is set to secure her fourth UK Number 1 single with Fortnight ft. Post Malone.
The opening track and first official single from the album, Fortnight would join Taylor's other UK chart-toppers; Look What You Made Me Do (2017), Anti-Hero (2022) and Is It Over Now? (Taylor's Version) (2023).
Two more songs from Taylor’s 11th studio album track for Top 3 debuts, too; The Tortured Poets Department (2) and So Long, London (3).
For the breaking news on what impact The Tortured Poets Department will have on the Official Albums Chart, check back tomorrow from 5pm for the Official Chart Update in what will no doubt be a massive week for Tay and all her tortured poets.
US singer-songwriter Mark Ambor’s breakthrough single Belong Together could see a rise this week, predicted to jump one to Number 12.
David Guetta & OneRepublic’s I Don’t Wanna Wait hopes to vault seven into the Top 20 for the first time (18).

This article is incorrect. Cardigan did not reach #1 in the UK. This will be her fourth #1 following LWYMMD, Anti-Hero and IION. Sorry Official Charts, thought I would do the work for you.

I doubt 'Forget About Us' will go Top 5 but would be awesome if it did!

I think this would make Taylor the first female artist to occupy the entire Top 3 simultaneously and the first artist to debut at #1, #2 and #3 in the same week? The album was fine, but I definitely prefer "The Anthology" tracks!
Elsewhere, I'm delighted that 'Espresso' is stable! I could absolutely see it reaching a new peak next month. :)

Taylor is over hyped and boring and Defin one of the weakest singers out there just my opinion:)
