Pink's What About Us is the UK's Official Number 1 trending song
Listen to the Top 20 songs making a big impact in the UK this week from Louis Tomlinson, Stefflon Don and Katy Perry.
P!nk is back in a big way this week as her new single What About Us lands straight in at Number 1 on the Official Trending Chart.
The track tops the list of songs making a big impact in the UK this week, based on movement up the Official Singles Chart. The US singer-songwriter made her grand return last Thursday (Aug 10) and is battling for this week's Number 1, currently at 2 in a tight race for the chart crown.
The song follows last year's Just Like Fire, which P!nk released in support of the Alice Through The Looking Glass film. Earlier this year she collaborated with Sia and production duo Stargate on Waterfall.
What About Us serves as the lead single from her upcoming seventh studio album Beautiful Trauma, which is out on October 13. It's P!nk's first album in five years, since 2012's The Truth About Love.

Meanwhile, remixer James Hype makes a big entry on the trending Top 20 with More Than Friends. The track, set to make its Top 40 debut this week, is a dance re-work of En Vogue's '90s R&B classic Don't Let Go (Love) featuring vocals from Kelli-Leigh.
Swedish DJ/producer Avicii makes two entries on the Official Trending Chart following the release of his new (01) EP. Without You ft. Sandro Cavazza and Lonely Together ft. Rita Ora are proving the most popular from the collection, which is made up of six tracks.
More brand new songs released last Friday (Aug 11) that make it into this week's trending chart are Liam Gallagher's For What It's Worth, the latest taster of his upcoming album As You Were, and Ella Eyre's latest offering Ego ft. Ty Dolla $ign.

About the Official Trending Chart
The Official Trending Chart was launched in 2016 to highlight the hottest new tracks beginning to make an impact in the UK every week.
The Top 20 rundown, published on OfficialCharts.com every Tuesday, based on the first four days’ sales of each chart week, is designed to highlight emerging hits as they begin to scale the Official Charts and build buzz.
The Official Trending Chart ranks titles which are showing week-on-week chart growth, and is the only “new music” chart to reflect audio track sales and streams comprehensively across all services.
Devised by the Official Charts Company in close consultation with labels, retailers and media, the chart since launch has highlighted emerging hits such as Number 1 single One Dance by Drake, and The Chainsmokers & Halsey's chart topper Closer.
The chart is designed to help highlight hit singles in their early stages of their growth, in the light of the shift in release strategies of record labels over the past six months. Under “On Air On Sale”, labels have started to release new music for consumers to buy or stream on the same day as those tracks are released to media (including radio stations and TV).
