Official Irish Singles Chart: Calvin Harris & Sam Smith net a fifth week at Number 1 with Promises
Promises are not too hard to keep… at Number 1 for Calvin Harris & Sam Smith! The brilliant pairing of the DJ/Producer and the soul singer spends a fifth week at the Irish top spot, with the Scotsman and Englishman leading by just under 500 combined chart sales.
Benny Blanco, Halsey & Khalid rebound to Number 2 with Eastside, while Kanye West & Lil Pump drop a slot to 3 with I Love It. Marshmello & Bastille hold firm at 4 with Happier, while In My Mind by Dynoro & Gigi D’Agostino plants its roots at Number 5 for a sixth consecutive week.
New entries and high climbers
Labrinth, Sia and Diplo claim their first Top 10 as their LSD supergroup, as Thunderclouds jolts one to Number 10. Jess Glynne is right behind with All I Am, which rises four to Number 11. This week’s highest entry is Shallow by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper (12). Taken from the A Star Is Born soundtrack, Shallow is Lady Gaga’s highest entry in Ireland in five years, since Do What U Want peaked at Number 9.
Rita Ora’s 15th Top 50 song Let You Love Me cracks the Top 20 (18), as does Mona Lisa by Lil Wayne ft. Kendrick Lamar at Number 19. Two more songs from Weezy’s latest album Tha Carter V also impact this week’s Top 50 – Don’t Cry ft. XXXTentacion at 29 and Travis Scott collab Let It Fly at 46.
DJ Snake’s mega-collab Taki Taki ft. Selena Gomez, Cardi B and Ozuna debuts at Number 24, while there’s Top 30 movement for MK, Jonas Blue & Becky Hill as Back & Forth advances 11 to 26. Sigala’s Just Got Paid with Ella Eyre & Meghan Trainor ft. French Montana also cracks the Top 30, up 12 to Number 28.
