Oasis are the UK's most searched for musicians of 2024

But breakthrough queen Sabrina Carpenter is right behind

Oasis tour support act Richard Ashcroft

Britpop icons Oasis were the UK's most searched for music act of 2024, Google has revealed.

Interest in the band's Live '25 reunion tour was so massive that "how to get Oasis tickets" was Google's second top trending "how to" question of the year – behind only "how to vote in the UK".

Oasis confirmed in August that they will reunite next summer for their first live shows in 16 years. Initially, the band announced 14 stadium gigs in the UK and Ireland, but the tour has since swelled to 41 dates including shows in North America, South America, South Korea, Japan and Australia.

Then in September, their classic 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe returned to the top of the Official Albums Chart thanks to a 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition. Check out where every Oasis song and album has charted in the UK here.

After Oasis, breakthrough queen Sabrina Carpenter was the UK's second most searched for musician in 2024. Interest in the witty pop singer kept snowballing as she sent three singles to the top of the Official Singles Chart: Espresso (which spent seven weeks at Number 1), Please Please Please (five weeks) and Taste (nine weeks).

In October, we revealed that Sabrina had become the first artist in 71 years of chart history to spend 20 weeks at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart in a calendar year.

Other artists to make Google's list of most searched for artists include another breakout star, Chappell Roan, and RAYE, who won a record six BRIT Awards in a single night back in February.
