New Music Friday - this week's biggest new song, album and DVD releases, all in one place
New Music Friday Releases June 7 2024

Welcome to New Music Friday, your one place to discover the biggest new song, album and DVD releases.

Let's get straight into this week's single offerings.

Halsey makes an emotional comeback with The End this week, after announcing diagnoses of Lupus SLE and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. "So I ran into the clinic and I asked to see the man," she sings, "with his white coat and his stethoscope like a snake around his hand." The End is the first track lifted from the New Jersey native's as-yet-unannounced sixth studio album.

RAYE also makes her return with Genesis.; a slice of straight, candid commentary coming in at just shy of seven minutes. The track addresses such issues as body image, societal pressures and a yearning for validation.

BTS star Jung Kook follows up four consecutive Top 10 hits (Seven ft. Latto, Jack Harlow collab 3D, The Kid LAROI and Central Cee team-up TOO MUCH and Standing Next To You) with Never Let Go this week. The official BTS FESTA 2024 fan song for 2024, could it earn him a fifth?

Currently enjoying her five-week reign at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with Espresso, Sabrina Carpenter serves up Please Please Please as the latest cut from her upcoming album Short n' Sweet. The Pennsylvania-born star's sixth studio collection is due for release on August 23.

Elsewhere, 5 Seconds of Summer's Ashton Irwin delivers Straight To Your Heart, the first single from his upcoming second solo studio album BLOOD ON THE DRUMS, Stockport rockers Blossoms are back with the title track of their forthcoming fifth LP Gary and Aussie dance outfit Confidence Man kickstart the summer with I CAN'T LOSE YOU.

On the albums front, Charli XCX's BRAT, a love letter to hedonistic rave culture, drops this week alongside focus track Talk talk. Could the record achieve the same success as chart-topping 2022 LP CRASH?

Bon Jovi are back with Forever, their first collection of new material in four years, as Meghan Trainor hopes to secure a third UK Top 10 album with Timeless.

It's Eels Time! as American rock seven-piece Eels return with their fifteenth studio LP and, finally, South Korea-born, Berlin-based singer, songwriter and record producer Peggy Gou drops her debut album I Hear You.
