She's defrosting earlier than ever this year! We here at Official Charts know it's never too early to start talking about Christmas Number 1 - the biggest and best chart race of the year - and we're glad to know that the Queen of Christmas herself, Mariah Carey, agrees!
Although we're a little over two months away from the official start of the race to the Official Christmas Number 1 single, it's always a good idea to get a lay of the land going into the festive season.
Last year, of course, saw Wham! fulfilled a prophecy 39 years in the making, with Last Christmas finally making it all the way to Christmas Number 1, securing an Official Chart record in the process.
As one of the defining modern Christmas hits, Mariah's All I Want For Christmas Is You is now surely hoping the time is right for its own journey to that coveted Christmas Number 1 spot to begin.
And when has it ever been wise to count Mariah Carey out?
As the festive season's most famous fan, she's already made her intentions pretty clear - debuting a brand new single sleeve for All I Want For Christmas Is You, to chime in with the song's 2024 re-release, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its parent album, Merry Christmas.

All I Want For Christmas Is You has (so far!) spent a total of three non-consecutive weeks at Number 1 in the UK. It first topped the Official Singles Chart in 2020, and most recently hit the top spot in December 2022.
Every Christmas season, however, Mariah's heart-felt festive original has been a staple of the Official Singles Chart Top 10 - although it has seen its chances of the coveted Official Christmas Number 1 ruined for five years in a row with LadBaby and then, of course, WHAM! last year.

The 2024 Official Christmas Number 1 will be announced on Friday, December 20. The full Christmas Top 40 will be counted down on BBC Radio 1's The Official Chart with Jack Saunders from 4pm GMT.
The full Top 100 Official Christmas Singles Chart and Official Christmas Albums Chart will be published on OfficialCharts.com from 5.45pm GMT on Friday, December 20.
