The DVD and Blu-ray release of Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's new time travel film, Looper, knocks The Sweeney off Number 1 on the Official Video Chart.
It’s all change at the top of the Official Video Chart as Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt travel forward in time to bump off The Sweeney from the top of the Official Video Chart in of Rian Johnson’s sci-fi epic, Looper.
Looper, which also stars Golden Globe award-winning British actress Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada, The Young Victoria and The Adjustment Bureau), simultaneously tops the Official DVD Chart, the Official Blu-ray Chart and the Official Film On Video Chart.
Resident Evil: Retribution, the fifth live action instalment of the hit film franchise based on Capcom’s video game series, is new in at Number 2 on this week’s chart. Coraline producers Laika’s new spooktacular animated film ParaNorman enters at Number 3, while last week’s chart topper, The Sweeney, falls two places to Number 4.
This week’s Official Video Chart Top 5 is completed by House At The End Of The Street (starring The Hunger Games’ Jennifer Lawrence) at Number 5.
The only other new entry in this week’s Official Video Chart Top 40 is Doctor Who – The Reign Of Terror. The eight part series, which stars William Hartnell as The Doctor, is new in at Number 20. Doctor Who – The Reign Of Terror has also entered the Official TV On Video Chart at Number 1, relegating The Complete Fifth Series of the BBC’s Merlin to Number 9.
