Liam Gallagher aiming for first solo UK Number 1 single with Just Another Rainbow ft. John Squire
Liam Gallagher is aiming for his first-ever solo UK Number 1 single this week with Just Another Rainbow, his brand-new collaboration with The Stone Roses guitarist John Squire.
As a member of Oasis, Liam has a landmark 8 UK Number 1 singles - the same haul as The Rolling Stones and Sam Smith. In his solo career, Liam has accumulated five solo Number 1 albums, with Knebworth 22 becoming his latest last year.
Following her murderous return to the Top 10 last week thanks to Saltburn, Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Murder on the Dancefloor could climb even higher (4); quickly approaching its 2001 peak of Number 2.
US artist Teddy Swims is on track to enter the Top 10 for the first time with his breakthrough hit Lose Control (7).
UK rockers Bring Me The Horizon are also heading for their landmark first Top 10 single with Kool-Aid (8).
And, finally, Sabrina Carpenter’s feather continues to make gains, up eight midweek (16). The single is on track to become her first Top 20 single in the UK. Sabrina has so far collected three Top 40 hits; with feather being joined by the headline-grabbing Skin (28) and Nonsense (32).

Hello everyone, I've been following the charts for a while now and I finally decided to create an account to chat with you all, I hope everyone is doing well and had a good Christmas/new year.
Firstly, I'm so happy to see Murder On The Dancefloor having a resurgence like this, this song was such a huge part of my childhood and I'm so glad it's having success again and I really hope it can go all the way to number 1, something that imo should have happened a long time ago, I saw her live when she opened for Steps a couple of years ago and she's amazing.
Secondly, as a big rock/metal fan I'm really happy with this update, especially with Bring Me The Horizon being on course for a top 10 single, I think it would be their first ever top 10 single. I've been a huge fan of this band for a very long time, and as someone from Yorkshire and only 40 minutes down the road from where they're from I'm so happy for them they deserve it so much, I've loved what they've been putting out recently and for me this is one of the best songs from them in this album cycle, and for me one of my favourite songs by them since the album Sempiternal all the way back in 2013. Interestingly this is the first release since Jordan left the band and, AmEN! aside it's their heaviest song for a long time, and as someone who prefers the older heavier songs than the newer releases (I love both old and new I just slightly prefer the older songs), if this is the direction they're heading as a band now I'm so happy and I can't wait for the album which they've announced to be coming out this summer, I can't wait to see them live on Friday, my 3rd time seeing them live.

Fingers firmly crossed for Sophie to make it all the way to the top!

Amazing to see 'Murder On The Dancefloor' in the Top 5. I really hope this can do a 'Running Up That Hill' and go all the way to the top of the chart! 😊

Even if I don't really care for either of their new singles, this is looking to be a fantastic week for rock music with Liam Gallagher at #1 and BMTH lower in the Top 10!
