gracie abrams that's so true number 1 week 4

Gracie AbramsThat’s So True has now dominated at Number 1 for a straight month.

Fighting off competition from Gigi Perez’ Sailor Song (2) and APT by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars (3) this week marks Gracie’s fourth consecutive week atop the Official Singles Chart.

Following the surprise release of his sixth album GNX, Kendrick Lamar sinks three new entries into the Top 10 this week; Squabble Up (4) ties with Bad Blood with Taylor Swift as his highest-charting single in the UK, and his highest-peak as a solo act too.

It's also joined by Luther with SZA (5) and TV Off with Lefty Gunplay (6). Altogether, they take K.dot’s all-time tally of UK Top 10 hits to 11.

As we all hold space for the live-action adaption of Wicked, several songs from the soundtrack impact the chart today. Big denouement number Defying Gravity from Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande debuts at Number 7. It becomes Erivo’s first and Grande’s 23rd Top 10 hit.

Further down, Grande’s version of Popular bows at Number 13, while What Is This Feeling, with Erivo and Grande, enters at Number 17.

With December just around the corner, WHAM! and Mariah Carey ring in the start of the Christmas season by re-entering the Top 10 today. Last Christmas surges ahead, bouncing eight to Number 8, while All I Want For Christmas Is You surges up seven to Number 10.

Belgian singer and producer Stromae secures his highest-charting single in the UK today. Viral hit Ma Meilleure Ennemie featuring Pomme debuts at Number 21. He previously hit Number 25 with legendary dance track Alors on Danse in 2010.

WHAM! and Mariah are just the start - we have eight more Christmas songs impacting the Top 40 this week; Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree (20), Ariana Grande’s Santa Tell Me (27), Bobby Helms’ Jingle Bell Rock (30), Ed Sheeran & Elton John’s former chart-topper Merry Christmas (31), Kelly Clarkson’s Underneath The Tree (32), The Pogues ft. Kirsty MacColl’s Fairytale of New York (34), Andy Williams’ It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year (39) and Shakin’ Stevens’ Merry Christmas Everyone (40).

Glad to see Stromae back in the charts. I'm surprised that it peaked higher than 'Alors On Danse', but 'Ma Meilleure Ennemie' is still a very good song. :)
