Chappell’s first foray into country, The Giver could become her second chart-topping single in the UK in less than a month, predicted to replace reigning Number 1 Pink Pony Club after two consecutive weeks at the top (3).
Playboi Carti plots his first-ever Top 5 single with EVIL J0RDAN (5). It’s the first of three new entries from latest album MUSIC expected to impact this week’s Top 20, potentially joined by Travis Scott team-up CRUSH (10) and The Weeknd collaboration RATHER LIE (11).
Something’s stirrin’ down inside this week’s Top 10, as BRITs Best Pop Act winner JADE eyes her highest-charting solo single with FUFN (F**k You For Now) (6). Co-written alongside RAYE, FUFN could join Angel Of My Dreams as JADE’s second Top 10 to date.
English heavy metal band Sleep Token might be celebrating a career-best with brand-new single Emergence this week (14). It’s on course to earn the group, comprising Vessel, II, III, IV and Espera, their first-ever UK Singles Chart entry. In June 2023, Sleep Token scored a Top 5 LP with Take Me Back To Eden (3).
And finally, Calvin Harris’s pivot into country could earn him a 45th Top 40 single. SMOKE THE PAIN AWAY is expected to debut at Number 27.

although sleep token aren’t my go-to metal band, it’s awesome to see at least some representation for metalcore in the top 20. i love the way the song progresses. i hope they stay in
sadly as a huge chappell roan enthusiast the giver wasn’t my cup of tea 😔 she’s great on it as per usual, i just don’t like country at all
still rather see that at number 1 than anything by c*rti tho-

I swear these are articles are getting posted earlier every week.
Anyway, even if 'The Giver' is far from Chappell's best, it would be very impressive if she replaced herself at #1, especially with a country song.
