101 new albums to get excited about between now and Christmas!

There are some epic chart battles set to take place between now and Christmas on the Official Albums Chart. Here’s 101 new albums set to be released in the run up to the festive season...

With new albums from the likes of Daft Punk, David Bowie, Justin Timberlake and Bastille, 2013 has been a pretty exciting year for the Official Albums Chart. But it’s only going to get better in the run up to Christmas!

The boffins at Official Charts HQ have compiled a list of 101 albums with confirmed release dates which are likely to have a major impact on the Official Albums Chart leading up to the festive season.

Indeed, later this month we’ll see Avicii going head-to-head with Sir Elton John, and Jessie J vs Justin Timberlake. While in October Miley Cyrus is set to lock horns with Chase & Status, The Saturdays take on Sir Paul McCartney, The Voice’s Andrea Begley vs Katy Perry.

November will see Eminem vs Tinie Tempah vs James Arthur, Lady Gaga battle it out with chart legends Sir Cliff Richard and Celine Dion, plus there’ll be new releases from One Direction, Professor Green and Chris Brown, plus Now That's What I Call Music 86! And, as we head into December, there's new albums from Il Divo and Rebecca Ferguson.

Robbie Williams is also set to release the follow-up to his 2001 big band album, Swing When You're Winning, which has been tentatively titled Swings Both Ways on November 18. The album features duets with Lily Allen (Dream A Little Dream), Michael Buble (Soda Pop), Kelly Clarkson (Little Green Apples), Olly Murs (I Wanna Be Like You) and Rufus Wainwright (Swings Both Ways), and will be a selection of classic songs from the past and new songs written co-written by Guy Chambers.
