Jade Thirlwall (known by the mononymous stage name JADE) is a singer born in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, England on December 26 1992.

In 2011, Jade auditioned for The X Factor series 8 as a soloist, before being placed into the group Little Mix alongside Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson.

Little Mix became the first group to win the show in December 2011, going on to earn 32 UK Top 40 singles, including five Official Number 1s; Damien Rice cover Cannonball, Wings, Black Magic, Shout Out to My Ex and Sweet Melody.

The group also achieved seven UK Top 40 albums, including 2016 chart-topper Glory Days.

"I was like 'that's so random that you remember that about me, I mustn't have let it go.' I was like 'oh, well maybe we should do it."
