Who are The Corrs?

The Corrs are a four-piece Irish family band from Dundalk in County Louth with members comprising siblings Andrea Corr (lead vocals, tin whistle, ukulele and mandolin) along with Sharon (violin, keyboard, vocals), Caroline (percussion and vocals) and brother Jim on guitar, piano, keys and vocals.

Following a string of minor hits, the pop-rock quartet broke through fully on The Official Chart in 1998 when they scored their first Top 10 single Dreams, the first of four consecutive Top 10s, including What Can I Do, So Young and Runaway.

Less than two years later The Corrs landed their first and only UK Number 1 single with Breathless. The band achieved two Number 1s on the Official Albums Chart with 1997's Talk On Corners and 2000's In Blue.

The Corrs went on hiatus in 2006 to pursue solo careers and raise families before returning in 2015 with new studio album White Light and a European tour. Image: The Corrs pictured at their Teenage Cancer Trust Show in March 2025 / press John Stead
