Years & Years’ Communion scores second week atop Official Albums Chart
Electronica trio Years & Years claim a second week at Number 1 today with their debut album Communion.
The LP, which features Top 40 singles Desire, Shine and Official Singles Chart Number 1 King, has outsold its nearest competitor, Ed Sheeran’s x (2) by more than 7,000 copies.
Meanwhile, this week’s highest new entry comes from Australian rock group Tame Impala, who score their highest Official Albums Chart position to date with Currents (3).
James Bay’s Chaos and the Calm (4) and Sam Smith’s In the Lonely Hour (5) round out this week’s Top 5, both sliding one place.
New entries
2014 X Factor runner-up Andrea Faustini makes his Official Chart debut with Kelly (14), while Nick Jonas scores his highest charting album to date with his self-titled release (16).
US singer-songwriter Jason Isbell scores his first UK Top 20 with Something More Than Free (17), as Will Young re-enters the Top 40 with this week’s highest climber 85% Proof (25), up 35 places.
Royal Blood’s eponymous debut (37) rises four places this week, while Leon Bridges’ Coming Home (38) is up nine.
