New Music Friday Song Album Singles Releases February 21 2025

Welcome to New Music Friday, your one place to discover the biggest new song, album and DVD releases.

Let's get straight into this week's albums.

Ahead of his performance at next weekend's BRITs, Sam Fender serves up his third studio LP People Watching. The Record Store Day UK 2025 ambassador will be hoping to secure a hat-trick of chart-toppers next week; can it repeat the success of 2019 debut Hypersonic Missiles and 2021's Seventeen Going Under?

Oh, golly gee! Tate McRae is back with her third collection, too. The Canadian star's latest release So Close To What already boasts three Top 20 singles - It's ok I'm ok (14), 2 hands (8) and sports car (8) - and includes collaborations with The Kid LAROI (I know love) and Flo Milli (bloodonmyhands). Previously, Tate enjoyed Top 10 success with 2022's I Used To Think I Could Fly (7) and 2023 record Think Later (5).

Elsewhere, London-born singer, songwriter and producer Nao delivers her fourth full-length release Jupiter, rising Canadian-Japanese artist Saya Gray drops SAYA and Youth Lagoon (aka Trevor Powers) unveils his fifth LP Rarely Do I Dream.

Now, onto singles.

Texan rapper, singer and songwriter Don Toliver and BTS idol j-hope team up on LV Bag. Produced by Pharrell Williams, the song was first previewed at the Louis Vuitton FW25 fashion show in Paris last month.

Burna Boy is back with brand-new cut Update this week. The track, produced by P2J (Beyoncé, Tems), the track samples Soul II Soul's iconic club classic Back To Life (However Do You Want Me), and is the latest taste of Burna's upcoming album No Sign of Weakness, coming this summer.

Paige Cavell joins forces with goddard. on the euphoric Owe It All  To You. On the song, Paige says: "I’m super excited about this release as I wrote it about my special people…the ones that are there through everything and have been for my whole life. I’ve been looking to work with goddard. for a while and this collab came about super naturally. I absolutely love what he’s done with the track."

Nominated for no less than four awards at this year's BRITs, Ezra Collective return with Sasha Keable collaboration Body Language. "Body Language is a tribute to the Latin American communities of London that deeply inspire us," explains Ezra Collective's Femi. "A collaboration with a friend who has been part of the EZ family for years. The language of the body is dancing and this song is a celebration of this."

British boy band dearALICE drop their debut single Ariana. The group - James Sharp, Dexter Greenwood, Olly Quinn, Reese Carter and Blaise Noon - were formed by K-pop talent powerhouse SM Entertainment alongside Moon&Back Media and Kakao Entertainment; their journey documented last year via BBC TV show Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience.

Four years on from the release of her last album Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land, MARINA metamorphosises with Butterfly, Mumford & Sons offer up latest RUSHMERE track Malibu and Courtney Hadwin gets us all Spellbound.

And, finally, following her first-ever UK Top 10 hit Boyfriend, Dove Cameron returns with brand-new single Too Much.
