Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines becomes fastest selling single of 2013!
Nearly 200,000 copies of Blurred Lines have been purchased during its first week on sale in the UK.
Congratulations to Robin Thicke, who has scored his first Official Singles Chart Number 1 today with Blurred Lines FT TI and N.E.R.D. mainman Pharrell Williams.
In doing so, Blurred Lines has also become the fastest selling single of 2013 so far, shifting an incredible 190,000 copies during its first week on sale. This beats 2013’s previous first week record of 145,000 copies, which was set by last week’s Number 1 single La La La by Naughty Boy FT Sam Smith (Number 2).
“It is an honour and a pleasure to be Number 1 in the UK,” Robin tells OfficialCharts.com. “It’s something I’ve always dreamed of, and I am so grateful to all the people who made this dream come true. Thank you!”
