Pink's Official Top 20 biggest songs in the UK revealed

So what, she's still a rockstar.

pink-singles.jpg

Pink has always been pop's biggest go-to rulebreaker.

In the near 25 years that Alecia Moore has been a solo star - she was originally featured in the line-up of a girl group, Choice, before her record label dropped them and convinced her to go out on her own - she has not been resilient to change.

She pulled off one of pop's greatest sonic makeovers, going from the of-the-moment R&B of her debut album, Can't Take Me Home, before switching to anarchic pop-rock on her influential sophomore LP Missundaztood which turned her into one of the brightest stars of her generation, and a fascinating cracked-mirror image of early 00s pop idols like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

Then came one of pop's most impressive comebacks with 2006's I'm Not Dead, where Pink pulled herself out of the commercial doldrums with a series of hits - like Stupid Girls, U + Ur Hand and Who Knew - that helped her climb back to the top of the charts.

Since 2009's Funhouse LP, Pink has settled into her superstar status like a pro. Although her rougher edges have been sanded off in recent years, her new album Trustfall proves that she hasn't lost her knack for a pop hook.

MORE: Pink's Official Charts history

With Trustfall now on track to become Pink's fourth UK Number 1 album, we've now updated her Official Top 20 biggest singles in the UK.

Before diving into the Top 20, let's explore the Top 5 in more detail.

5. Raise Your Glass
Released: 2010
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 13
Total UK chart units: 1.1 million

The beginning of Pink's self-help anthem era (Glee has a lot to answer for, honestly) she teamed up with one of her most valued collaborators - Max Martin - for this jubilant celebration of knowing exactly who you are. With over 1.1 million chart units and a combined 79 million streams, it ranks as Pink's fifth overall biggest song here, although it's the only song in the Top 10 to miss the actual UK Top 10, peaking just outside at Number 13.

4. Lady Marmalade (with Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim & Mya)
Released: 2001
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 1.2 million

Where's all my soul sisters? A hallowed relic of pop days gone by, Lady Marmalade saw Pink team up with Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim and Mya for a super-charged cover of Patti Labelle's 1975 funk classic, co-produced by none other than Missy Elliot. Each one of the foursome is given their chance to shine on the track (although maybe some would disagree with that!) and once Pink is front and centre, she lets her gritty vocals rip. It was also, fun fact, her first UK Number 1 single, as well as her most physically purchased (over 411,000 copies).

3. So What
Released: 2008
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 1.3 million

Now, this is how you do a break-up anthem. Licking her wounds from her split from husband Carey Hart (although the two would reunite on the set for the track's music video and are still married today!) So What chugs along with an enviable streak of rage, matched with some truly funny lines (What if this song's on the radio? Then somebody's going to die!). It's Pink's fourth most-streamed track in the UK, with over 83 million combined streams, and is also (another chart fact for you here) a very rare solo production credit from Max Martin. A pop song!

2. What About Us
Released: 2017
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 3
Total UK chart units: 1.5 million

Pink re-emerged in 2017 with her album Beautiful Trauma, after nearly half a decade had passed since 2012's The Truth About Love. For that album's lead single, she teamed up with hit-maker of the moment Steve Mac (Ed Sheeran, Anne-Marie) for a wistful synth-pop album about the state of the world in 2017 which was...a lot, wasn't it? What About Us ranks as Pink's second-biggest song in the UK, but is actually her most-streamed track overall - with 143 million streams across audio and video.

1. Just Give Me A Reason (with Nate Ruess)
Released: 2012
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 2
Total UK chart units: 1.9 million

Teaming up with fun. frontman Nate Ruess (remember fun.?!), Just Give Me A Reason was the biggest hit from The Truth About Love, although it never actually hit Number 1 in the UK, peaking at Number 2 and kept off the top spot by the surprising return of Ant and Dec's fictional pop duo PJ & Duncan.

Nevertheless, this breazy break-up anthem produced by Jeff Bhasker (Taylor Swift, Kanye West) ranks as Pink's Number 1 biggest single in the UK - collecting over 1.9 million chart units in total. Although it's only her second-biggest song on streaming (133 million streams), its video is actually her most-streamed ever (22 million plays).

Please could you expand this to a Top 40. Pink has enough big selling tracks to make this a worthwhile exercise.

Love PINK! So far she has never released any "bad" album..her music changes all the time but its quality is always there!! my fav of hers: JUST LIKE A PILL: love it, love it....Didn't expect RAISE YOUR GLASS to be in the Top 5! Was expected GET THE PARTY STARTED to be in her Top 10 best selling songs at least: an amazing single!!
