Noel Gallagher, Arctic Monkeys and Lana Del Rey nominated for NME Awar

Noel Gallagher, Arctic Monkeys and Lana Del Rey are among the nominees for this year’s NME Awards.

Arctic Monkeys lead the charge with seven nominations (including Best British Band, Best Live Band and Best Album) while Lana Del Rey is up for three awards (Best New Band, Best Track and Best Video). Former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher will be honoured with the Godlike Genius Award.

The NME Awards 2012 are set to take place at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on Wednesday, February 29 and will be hosted by Fresh Meat star Jack Whitehall.
