Mark Ronson's Uptown Funk scores fourth week at singles Number 1

Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars win a fourth non-consecutive week at the chart summit with impressive sales.

Mark Ronson continues to lead this week’s Official Singles Chart with Uptown Funk.

The track, which features Bruno Mars, claims a fourth non-consecutive week at Number 1 with a combined download and streams tally of 130,000 chart sales.

Uptown Funk currently holds the record for most streams in a week at 2.56 million. This week, the song was streamed 2.43 million times and is once again the week’s most-streamed track in the Top 40.

Meanwhile, holding at Number 2 is newcomer Philip George with Wish You Were Mine, and Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud is a non-mover at Number 3.

Olly Murs and Demi Lovato’s Up jumps 6 to 4, and following his performance on this week’s Graham Norton Show, Hozier leaps 10 to 5 with Take Me To Church.

New entries and high climbers

At Number 7 is a new entry from Tchami, Promesses FT Kaleem Taylor. The track is the first UK Top 40 hit for the French DJ/producer – real name Martin Bresso – who has supported both Skrillex and Diplo on tour, as well remixing Oliver $, AlunaGeorge and Janet Jackson.

Further down the chart, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s Only One leaps from 35 to Number 28, and Beyonce’s 7/11 re-enters the Top 40 at 33.

This week’s biggest climber is BRITs Critics’ Choice winner James Bay, leaping 44 places to Number 36 with Hold Back The River, while US band Echosmith land their first UK Top 40 hit with Cool Kids at 39.
