Justin Timberlake scores the fastest selling album of 2013 so far, and his third Number 1, with The 20/20 Experience.

How do you follow three consecutive weeks at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart?

If you’re the unstoppable Justin Timberlake you simply go and bring home the fastest selling album of the year, too! Chart domination complete. Following three weeks at the top of the Official Singles Chart, the US superstar now secures his third UK Number 1 album in a row with The 20/20 Experience.

Notching up sales of nearly 106,000 copies this week, the album which features two Top 5 singles (Suit & Tie FT Jay-Z and Mirrors) today takes its place as the fastest selling album of 2013, toppling reigning title holder David Bowie’s The Next Day. The 20/20 Experience has outsold the rest of this week’s Official Albums Chart Top 5 combined.

David Bowie slips one place to Number 2 with The Next Day, while Emeli Sande holds steady at Number 3 with Our Version Of Events. The Motion Picture Cast Recording of Les Miserables bounces up six places to Number 4 following the release of a new deluxe edition earlier this week, and Bastille’s Bad Blood (Number 5) completes this week’s Official Albums Chart Top 5.

New Entries

In addition to Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience (Number 1), there are seven new entries on today’s Official Albums Chart Top 40.

Recently reunited indie rockers Suede are back with their first Top 10 album in almost 14 years, Bloodsports debuts at Number 10 this week while folk-rock hero Billy Bragg enters at Number 13 with his thirteenth solo album, Tooth & Nail.

London-based trio Daughter follow at Number 16 with debut album, If You Leave, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club finish the week at Number 31 with new offering Specter At The Feast.

Steve Mason’s Monkey Minds In The Devils Time (Number 34), Hadouken!’s Every Weekend (35) and Woodkid’s The Golden Age (38) complete this week’s new entries.
