ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Justin Bieber has only recently been knocked from the Number 1 spot on the Official Singles Chart, but he's gearing up to take it back.
Just days after Calvin Harris dethroned Justin's track with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, Despacito, from the top spot the UK's Official Chart, Justin has announced details of his new single on Twitter.
The song, titled Friends, will be released this Thursday (August 17), and is Justin's first single as a lead artist since Purpose album track Company was serviced to radio last summer.
Some fans have already heard Friends - or at least a version of it. Justin played fans a clip of the song at Milan Airport last month. One cheeky fan recorded the entire thing, and you can listen to Justin's own preview below:

Hugely successful music producer BloodPop, who worked on a lot of Justin's Purpose album including Sorry, has produced the track and has an artist credit. View the artwork for the song below.

It's not yet known whether this will be stand-alone release for Justin, or if another album is on the way, but judging by Justin's decision to end his world tour early to recoup, we have a feeling another album will be a while off yet.
2017 has been a huge year for Justin Bieber so far. He is only one of two artists (the other being DJ Khaled) to have two Number 1 singles already this year with I'm The One and Despacito, the latter of which is now one of the longest reigning Number 1s ever. Justin also scored a Top 5 hit in June with his David Guetta collaboration 2U.

I Am A Stegosaurus
It was alright until the hook with those horrible dolphin noises. This trend needs to die out, it's not music, it's just a bunch of bad effect noise. It was the cancer of tropical house and now it's even crossed over into pop and rap instead. Burn it to the ground.
