Gaga kickstarts a new era with Disease - but can she outrun viral hit Sailor Song?

Lady Gaga and Gigi Perez are battling it out for the UK’s Number 1 single. Gaga currently leads the charge with industrial-pop rager Disease (1), which could become her seventh chart-topper in the UK.
But Gigi Perez’s Sailor Song (2) is also in play, with less than 500 chart units separating her and Mother Monster midweek.
KSI and Trippie Redd could move up to a brand-new peak with Thick Of It (6).
Gracie Abrams is predicted to score her second Top 10 single this Friday. That’s So True could jump 11 places (8) following its Top 20 debut last week.
Teddy Swims’s long-gestating hit The Door could finally climb into the Top 10 this week (10), while Bad Dreams is set to break the Top 20 (17).
Addison Rae could score two consecutive Top 40 hits this week; Diet Pepsi is on track to reach new highs (11), with brand-new track Aquamarine eyeing a new entry (33).
BTS idol JIN is on course to claim his first-ever UK Top 40 hit, with I’ll Be There set to debut at Number 14.

Initial curiosity would have drove up streaming numbers for Gaga on the first day of release so unless those are consistent and don’t decrease as the week goes on, I suspect she’ll drop from #1 with such a small lead.

it’s sunk to number 29 on spotify, and apple music has it at number 8, so i think it’ll have fallen way below that top spot come friday.
then again, somedays is currently 25th on spotify, 6th on apple music and isn’t doing much in terms of sales, yet its number 3 here, so anything can happen in this climate

i think disease is really good, but im rooting for sailor song to get there as it’s one of my favourites in the chart. it’s so autumnal and id love to have a sapphic love song at number 1 after chappell roan was robbed from it this year
