Eminem's Kamikaze is Ireland's Number 1 album for a third week, high new entries for David Guetta and Paul Weller
Eminem has held on to the Number 1 spot for a third week on the Irish Albums Chart, seeing off competition from new albums by David Guetta and Paul Weller.
With the rapper currently embroiled in a rap battle with Machine Gun Kelly over on the singles chart, his tenth album Kamikaze continues to lead the way on the albums Top 50, holding off competition from The Greatest Showman (2) and Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again (3) soundtracks.
New entries
French DJ/producer David Guetta lands this week’s highest new entry at Number 9 with his seventh album. Fittingly titled 7, it’s his fourth consecutive Top 10 album in Ireland, following 2014’s Listen, which peaked at 9.
Finishing close behind is rock star Paul Weller, who scores his fifth Top 10 solo record with True Meanings, new at Number 10. Rapper 6lack debuts just outside the top flight with East Atlanta Love Letter (12).
Finally, London soul collective Jungle start at 27 with their second record For Ever; ABBA’s 18 Hits re-enters at 32; Carrie Underwood’s Cry Pretty is new at 40; and Orbital’s Monsters Exist lands at 43.
