Ed Sheeran is set to claim his fourth Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart as his latest single Perfect - newly re-worked as a duet with Beyonce - leads the way on the Official Chart Update.

Perfect originally entered the chart at Number 4 back in March, when he released his ÷ album. Last week the track matched its original peak after being given an official single release, and is now set to take this week's top spot after putting out a new version of the song with Beyonce.

If Perfect holds at Number 1, it will become Ed’s fourth UK chart topper following Sing, Thinking Out Loud and Shape of You. View his full UK chart history, featuring 35 Top 40 singles.

Meanwhile, Rita Ora's Anywhere looks likely to spend a fourth week in the runner-up slot at 2, and Camila Cabello's Havana slips to 3.

New entries and high climbers

As the festive season gets underway, three Christmas classics feature in this week's update Top 10 - Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You vaults 18 places to Number 4, Wham's Last Christmas jumps 24 spots to Number 5, and Pogues' Fairytale Of New York ft. Kirsty MacColl bounds 46 places to Number 9.

More festive favourites are Top 40 bound this week; the 1984 original of Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas? bounds 69 spots to 16, Shakin' Stevens' 1985 hit Merry Christmas Everyone climbs from 87 to Number 18, and Wizzard's I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday, first released in 1974, is up 75 places to 23.

This week's highest new entry looks set to come from Louis Tomlinson - Miss You is currently at 30. P!nk’s Beautiful Trauma could also enter the Top 40 for the first time, up 20 to Number 34 following her performance on The X Factor final.

Finally, this year's X Factor winner's Rak-Su currently sit just outside the Top 40 following their victory. Dimelo, which features Wyclef Jean and Naughty Boy, is at Number 46. With their winner's single being released late on Sunday evening (Dec 3), expect to see the track climb throughout the week.

Thought the title of the Louis song was 'Miss You' - not 'I Miss You'? That's the Julia Michaels ft Clean Bandit track, isn't it?

Misleading headline by the OCC... considering Beyonce will not be credited.. makes sense to me to credit the featured artists of the version of the track which has accumulated the most sales!

So, Beyonce isn't gonna be credited or what?

I have a feeling she won't be, considering the original was already doing very well.

Yeah, but remix is outselling original 5:1 right now. And she's credited as lead artist on remix, not featured artist.

I'd love for Beyoncé to be credited, but if you look at the Official Chart Update's full chart itself, the original is the one that's listed at #1.

That’s the point being discussed

This is shaping up to be a very exciting chart for sure!

The original version of 'Perfect' might only be decent, but I love the Beyoncé duet & I'm very pleased to see it heading for #1. It seems to be the most likely contender for Christmas #1 right now.

What I really like seeing is three classic Christmas songs inside the Top 10 in the update. It would be amazing to finally see 'Last Christmas' hit the top spot!

It's a shame that 'Anywhere' is going to get blocked at #2 by two different songs. On a more positive note, I think 'Dimelo' should be able to reach the Top 40 by the end of the week.

I'm also happy that U2 could get an 11th #1 album this week too! :)

No surprises in the Top 3 in this update, but I definitely did not expect 3 Christmas songs to hit the Top 10 already! They are streaming a ridiculous amount though, so it makes sense. It's also quite surprising to see '÷' hop back into the Top 3 in the update. It's not been to that region for quite a while now, and it usually does better in the actual chart than in the update. It must be selling quite a lot as people buy it for Christmas presents. It sold around 24,000 last week (not the week just gone, the week before that), which is double what it was selling a couple of months ago and is incredibly impressive for a 9 month old album.

Given that 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' has been #1 on Spotify for most of the week, I'm not surprised that it's in the Top 5 in the update, but the other two did come as a pleasant surprise.
It doesn't surprise me that '÷' is rebounding, but I wouldn't have expected it to rise by that much.
Speaking of the albums chart, it's good to see Michael Buble's Christmas album on course to return to the Top 10! :)

All 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' needs to do now is increase in actual sales and it could definitely get the Christmas #1, and the same goes for 'Last Christmas'.
I'd expect '÷' to be quite a popular Christmas present for the few people that are yet to buy it. What do you expect its sales figures to look like by the end of the year? It was at 2.2m at the 3/4 mark of the year, so I'd say somewhere around 2.5m by the end of the year.
If Michael Buble's Christmas album makes it to the Top 10, it will have done so every year since it's release with the exception of 2015.

Do you have any idea why Michael Buble's Christmas album underperformed in 2015?
'All I Want For Christmas Is You' seemed to stall at around #5 on iTunes last year, but I think it was also at #1 on Spotify for a while.
According to the BPI, '÷'s sales were just over 2.3 million when they last updated it, so I think it could be nearer to 2.6 million by the New Year! :)

I don't, no. I just took a look at its chart history and it peaked at #12 in 2015, but it's gotten to #10 or higher every other year, and looks like it will this year as well.
I hope that 'Perfect' manages to get the Christmas #1. Since it's almost guaranteed that it'll be #1 this week, that gives '÷' its 2nd #1 single and its 5th Top 2 single. If 'Happier' manages to get to #1 (which it may not, but I hope it does) '÷' would've had 3 #1s, including a Christmas #1 if 'Perfect' can hold on, 6 Top 2 singles and 10 Top 10 singles, which I think is very fitting for an album as huge as '÷'.
'÷' hasn't quite passed 8x Platinum (2.4m sales) yet, but I think it'll definitely do it by the end of the year. 2.6m is also very possible as its sales should pick up even more as we get closer to Christmas. If it's at 2.38m (just a guess) now and it sells ~35,000 per week until the end of the year it'll be at 2.52m by the end of the year.
