Diplo has confirmed that Silk City, his new project with Mark Ronson, will release a collaboration with Dua Lipa.

The superstar producer, who is one third of hit-making giants Major Lazer, has several songs created with Mark up his sleeve, one of which will feature pop starlet of the moment, Dua Lipa.

Confirming the news on Twitter to a fan who asked about the collaboration, Diplo simply replied that the song is coming "this summer". Exciting stuff! The trio were pictured the in the studio together in January on Dua's Instagram profile.

Diplo has described Silk City as an "homage to some of the greatest dance music cities chicago, london, paris, detroit", and before they release their Dua-assisted song, the duo's first single Only Can Get Better ft. Daniel Merriweather is out now.

Mark Ronson has shared a preview of the song, elaborating on his connection with Diplo and the influence the Silk City diner in Philadelphia has had on the pair of them.

Despite not having released any music at the time, Silk City were confirmed back in March as headliners for this year's Bestival; they're fronting the Dorset festival on Friday, August 3.

Silk City is now Diplo's fourth outfit for releasing music; in addition to being a founding member of Major Lazer, he is a member of Jack U with Skrillex. He also recently launched the supergroup LSD with Sia & Labrinth, plus his solo single Welcome To The Party is featured on the Deadpool 2 movie soundtrack.
