When you’re one of the most successful female artists of all time with two of the UK’s biggest selling albums under your belt, it can’t hurt to remind people just how successful you’ve been, can it? Of course it can’t. And that’s why Dido has decided the time is right to release a greatest hits album celebrating her career.

From Stan to Singles Chart stardom

Since shooting to fame in 2000 thanks to a high-profile feature on Eminem’s Number 1 hit Stan, Dido went on to have huge success by herself. Her impressive chart record includes eight appearances in the Top 40 of the Official Singles Chart, including five Top 10s.

Dido's multi-million selling albums

When it comes to the Official Albums Chart she’s no stranger to success either – she’s enjoyed two chart-toppers, No Angel and Life For Rent. Both albums were massive sellers. Dido’s debut No Angel has sold over 3 million copies and is the fifth biggest selling album of the 21st century and the top seller of 2001. Life For Rent has sold over 2.8 million and was the Number 1 album of 2003 (and ninth of the 21st century). Her next two albums went Top 5.

All the hits

Dido has confirmed the album’s tracklisting will include Thank You, Here With Me, White Flag, Life For Rent and No Freedom and will be released on 25 November. 2003’s White Flag is Dido’s biggest selling single, clocking up 415,000 sales in the UK and reaching Number 2. The track that started it all, Stan, has sold 880,000 copies.

Dido and Eminem reunite at Reading

The mega-selling singing star acknowledged Eminem’s part in her success last weekend when she made guest appearances during the bad-boy rapper’s sets at the Reading and Leeds festivals to lay her vocals on Stan once more.
