BRIT Awards 2008: The full list of winners and nominees
Look back at 2008's biggest night for UK music.
Three bands won big at the 2008 BRIT Awards; comeback kings Take That, Arctic Monkeys and Foo Fighters.
Foos fended off some fierce competition in the International Group and International Album categories, including Kings of Leon, while Take That won British Single for Shine and Arctic Monkeys took home the coveted Album of the Year.
Despite being nominated for four prizes, Leona Lewis went home empty-handed, Kylie Minogue triumphed over Rihanna to win International Female, and a little-known artist called Adele picked up that year's (first ever) Critics' Choice prize.
It's not the BRIT Awards without some unexpected collaborations on the night; and this year, Mika and Beth Ditto shared the stage for a performance of Standing In The Way of Control, while Rihanna teamed up with Klaxons for a rock-out rendition of her hit Umbrella.
Amy Winehouse also took to the stage for the second year in a row. Her renditions of Love Is A Losing Game, and Valerie with Mark Ronson marked her final BRITs performances before her death in 2011.
Look back at BRIT Awards winners from years gone by: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2007.
