Alexandra Burke signs new record deal and announces new album The Truth Is
The singer and actress is returning to music after a six-year hiatus.
Fresh off her success from Strictly Come Dancing, Alexandra Burke is wasting no time in getting back into music.
The singer and actress will release her third studio album, called The Truth Is, on March 9 2018 after signing a new deal with Decca Records. The label, part of Universal, is home to artists including Imelda May, Sheppard and The Lumineers.
Alexandra will also embark on a UK tour to promote the album, starting on September 1, 2018. Pre-sale access to the tour begins on January 24.
It's the first new album from Alexandra in six years, since her 2012 album Heartbreak On Hold. To date, the star has eight Top 40 singles on the Official Singles Chart, three on which have hit Number 1 - including Bad Boys and Start Without You.
Her X Factor winner's single Hallelujah, which is one of the UK's biggest selling Christmas Number 1s ever.
Alexandra reached the final of this year's Strictly Come Dancing, losing out to actor Joe McFadden. She won the fifth series of The X Factor in 2008, finishing ahead of runners-up JLS.
