I would question whether the headline in today's update: "Melanie C is the only act in Official Chart history to claim a Number 1 single by herself, with a collaboration, and in a quartet and quintet" is correct. I believe Paul McCartney was the first to achieve this, as a solo artiste, with Stevie Wonder, with Wings, with the Beatles, with the Beatles and Billy Preston and with the Hillsboro Collective on Ferry Cross The Mersey

I think the stat is for solo, duo, quartet and quintet. She may simply be the first (only) female to do it rather than artist. Can't remember if it included trio too, but can't think of a #1 for either of them as a trio member.
