ERASURE

Erasure are a synth-pop duo consisting of Andy Bell and Vince Clarke who made their fame in the 1980s and 90s, earning five UK Number 1 albums on the Official Albums Chart and over 15 Top 10 singles including A Little Respect.

Erasure's first Top 10 single came courtesy of 1986's Sometimes, but it would be six years later before they would landed the Number 1 spot with the Abba-eque EP.

literally their career ended after ALWAYS

always was successful and spent a lot of weeks in the charts and reached the top 10

after that only their fans bought their singles

Good that the chart system was changed and they could not chart anymore

and they were clever in the 90s and early 00s to release their singles in weak chart weeks with few sales

SOLSBURRY HILL reached the top 10 for just one week but fell of the charts soon
the same with BREATHE

both released in early january

in english please!!

After 2007 they could not chart with their singles anymore

why ? because chart system changed after 2008 massively

ERASURE ''cheated'' with their releases. They charted high n the first weeks but then fell of the chart after 1-2 weeks

after 2008 it was not possible anymore. The number of sales and especially single downloads grew
they had no chance
