BASTILLE

Founded by singer-songwriter Dan Smith in 2010, British rock-pop band Bastille comprise members Chris (Woody Wood on drums, Will Farquarson (bass/guitar) and Kyle Simmons on keyboard.

Bastille topped the Official Albums Chart in 2013 with their debut LP Bad Blood, which includes the hit singles Flaws, Of The Night, and their breakthrough hit Pompeii which peaked at Number 2 on the Official Singles Chart upon its release in March 2013 and has since gone on to become one of the UK's best-selling songs of all time. Pompeii was confirmed by Official Charts in November 2023 to have surpassed the one million pure sales milestone - a rare feat in the streaming era, and only the 180th song ever in the history of the UK charts to do so.

Bastille's second album Wild World repeated the former's success, hitting Number 1 in September 2016 where it spent two weeks at the summit, while the band completed a hat-trick of chart toppers with Give Me The Future in February 2022.
