Saxon deserved to carry on their 1980's success into the 90's and beyond, but sadly it didn't happen. There we're some class singles that never charted like We Will Remember, I was so disappointed that didn't chart. Then there's the albums that deserved to chart but sadly didn't, I never know why because I prefer Saxon over Iron Maiden, yet they went onto being huge, still are. Saxon are very under rated.

Battering Ram is a stunner. I heard it was the highest England charting position they ever had. This may not be the final position.

Biggest hit since the mid 80's. They were massive in the U.K. early 80's , as big as Maiden . Great to see them fighting back .

Battering Ram (the album) was their highest-charting album since the 80s (until a month ago, when Thunderbolt went higher). Not that chart positions are any guide to quality. They had loads of great non-charting albums in the 90s and 00s, and Thunderbolt (though generally good and with 2-4 exceptionally awesome songs) isn't as consistently great as Battering Ram.
