DISCO, Kylie's 15th studio album was released 6 November 2020 as the follow-up to 2018 album Golden. It landed straight in at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, helping Australian singer Kylie make chart history as the first ever female artist - and second artist overall - to claim a UK Number 1 album in five consecutive decades.
Debuting at the UK chart summit with 55,000 chart sales, DISCO delivered Kylie an eighth UK Number 1 album and her biggest opening week in 10 years, since 2010’s Aphrodite.
Kylie set a new Official Chart record, becoming the first female artist to score a Number 1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart in five consecutive decades - in the ‘80s, ‘90s, ‘00s, ‘10s and ‘20s.
On reaching Number 1 with DISCO, Kylie said to Official Charts "Official Charts Company, thank you so much! DISCO has entered the charts at Number 1! I don’t know what to say, I’m lost for words, thank you to everyone who has supported this album and this campaign, it means the world to me. I’m so touched that it’s made it’s way to your hearts. I love it!”
