I remember the days when an album could take weeks, even months to get to number 1. It's a joke now. Every band can say they got a number 1 album even though years ago the same amount of sales wouldn't have made the slightest dent on the charts. Everything has to be obtained immediately. 😳

It amazes me how very few artists can retain the no.1 spot for more than a week.  These days every no.1 seems to practically disappear the following week or drop drastically.  All the old stuff still seems to be doing well ... says a lot for the modern stuff with the exception of a few.

Even though these albums achieve the no.1 spot for a brief week they can hardly be classed as a hit album if they disappear the following week and are subsequently forgotten about.

While you kids are on temporary release, the charts always get distorted (OCC's employees are on minder duty so the office cleaner takes charge) - not that their idea of a chart is anything like reality, far from it, but it seems to keep you children amused.

Do the EPs contain random inclusions like photo cards? They won’t count.

Last week’s number one album would have been Stray Kids but 90% of their sales didn’t count due to random inclusions.

And only half as long as Rebel Heart, which was no great success either. And Confessions was out of the US Billboard 200 even quicker (5 weeks). It's embarrassing that vacuous Madonna queens are hailing it as some sort of great comeback when it really was just yet another flash in the pan for a washed-up pop tart who is long past her sell-by date.
