Beat it out of the charts at last.

Looking at this top ten, I've been listening to the charts since the 70s. I wished I'd been around for the 60s, which to me was the best decade in chart history. The poor old 70s were never gonna live up to that. The 80s was iconic but having been there, a little over rated, the 90s passed me by a bit at the time and I tuned out a little but am getting back into some of what I missed. The 00 was without doubt the absolute worst decade in chart history, the 10s could only improve on that but I'm gonna say the 20s is turning into the third truly great and iconic decade of chart music. They played the 60s for forty years, their still playing the 80s today and I'm pretty sure that kids in the 2040s will grow up listening to this stuff and wishing they'd been around. They'll still be playing this stuff in the 2060s I'm sure of it. Never let my generation tell you todays music isn't brilliant.

Such a good number one, Sienna Spiro genuinely has so much talent. I'm not so happy about ADELA - in my opinion all of her songs are incredibly artificial and annoying. Was hoping for Training Season to push a bit higher than number 5, but now we know that #1, #2 and #3 will all be blocked next week, unfortunately. Great to see My Body Isn't Ready breaking the top 10 too.

What's with official charts allowing the AI song at Number 97?

Oof... 'Bad Taste' went from #15 to #73 in the space of five days. 

I wish 'Silent Treatment' debuted for Freya Skye earlier this year, but it's still good to see her land a first ever chart entry. She has a lot of potential as a future popstar.

Looks like we have next weeks #1 and 3 of the places in the top 10 sorted.

Didn’t expect Macklemore to re-enter following the situation surrounding him, but I really liked ‘Can’t Hold Us’ back in 2013 and it’s aged rather well.

As for my thoughts on the matter, all I’ll say is that while I don’t mind if artists choose not to talk about global issues during their sets, it’s wrong to silence those who do.

I think Adéla has better singles than ‘Nicole Kidman’, but it’s still fantastic to see her having such a big year. 

Also, an interesting chart fact I’ve noticed is that the Top 7 features seven different female artists whose first names all end in A.

While I’m very glad that ‘Movin’ To The Sun’ is on ACR and won’t be going to #1, I’m not impressed that another Imael Angel song is on the chart. 

What’s worse is that this one appears to be entirely AI-generated. Hopefully it doesn’t last.

I’m pleased that ‘Great Expectation’ held on over ‘Boston’ in the end. I’m sorry, but the latter just sounds like a clear ‘Stick Season’ rip-off.

This might be Sienna’s last week there though because we all know who’s getting the top spot next week.
