Who are Architects?

Architects are a British metalcore band formed in Brighton, England, comprising vocalist Sam Carter (born September 9, 1988), drummer Dan Searle (born October 23, 1987), bassist Alex "Ali" Dean, rhythm guitarist Adam Christianson, and lead guitarist Josh Middleton. Former members include bassist Tim Lucas, lead vocalist Matt Johnson, and rhythm guitarist Tim Hillier-Brook.

Tom Searle, lead guitarist and principle songwriter and twin brother to drummer Dan, passed away in 2016 from melanoma skin cancer, aged 28.

Architects' sixth studio album 2014's Lost Forever // Lost Together was their first to crack the Official Albums Chart Top 40, peaking at Number 16, and was named Best Album at the 2014 Kerrang! Awards. Architects' 2018 album Holy Hell reached Number 1 on the Official Record Store Chart, that same year Architects were named Best British Live Act by Kerrang! magazine.

In 2021, Architects landed their first UK Number 1 album with their ninth studio release For Those That Wish To Exist, and four years later earned their second Top 10 outing with eleventh studio collection The Sky, The Earth & All Between, peaking at Number 2. The band have also scored several Number 1 albums on the UK's Official Rock & Metal Albums Chart.
