YOU'RE CHRISTMAS TO ME

Part of the Amazon Music Christmas Originals for 2023, Eurovision 2022 hero Sam Ryder offers a strong and bombastic original composition, co-written by Sam and frequent collaborator Max Wolfgang, with production by The Nocturns (Maisie Peters, Mimi Webb). 

You're Christmas To Me, released 7 November 2023, features on the soundtrack of Amazon Prime Video's original festive feature, Your Christmas Or Mine 2, which features Sex Education star Asa Butterfield and 30 Rock icon Jane Krakowski. 

Speaking to Official Charts about life as a newly independent artist and You're Christmas To Me being pegged as a key Christmas Number 1 2023 contender, Sam said: "I can’t lie, a Number 1 would be fantastic for the whole team who’ve worked so hard; our little band of conspirators that are pulling together every single time to make things happen in this new independent lane.

"Getting a Number 1 record really helps and springboards your career into the next level. I totally understand, and respect, the importance of it. As always, it’s all down to the fans and those who support it. Let’s rally the troops, let’s do it!" 

Following a steady five-week ascent up the Official Singles Chart, on the 15 December 2023 the track entered the Top 10 for the first time, and just two days later You're Christmas To Me was announced by Official Charts to be in a neck and neck battle with WHAM! for the UK's Christmas Number 1 2023. A high-energy campaign saw Sam play a staggering 26 shows in 6 days with the aim of nabbing the festive chart crown, alas You're Christmas To Me was eventually pipped to Christmas Number 1 by WHAM! but did take away the Christmas Number 2 accolade for 2023.
